VETS Reporting Began August 1 for Federal Contractors

Every year, between August 1 and September 30, the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) requires certain nonexempt federal contractors and subcontractors to file form 2026 VETS-4212. This requirement applies to companies with contracts of $150,000 or more with any U.S. department or agency for the procurement of personal property or nonpersonal services. This program is meant to advance employment opportunities for covered veterans.

While employers can email or mail their forms, the DOL’s Veterans’ Employment and Training Service (VETS) recommends filing your form electronically. Filers can submit their reports using one of the following methods:

• Filing on the VETS-4212 website;
• Emailing reports to VETS4212-customersupport@dolncc.dol.gov; or
• Sending the report via postal mail to:

Companies with more than 10 hiring locations can streamline their VETS-4212 report by submitting a batch upload. The 2026 VETS-4212 form is available for free on HRCalifornia and on the DOL’s website.

VETS also provides frequently asked questions on its website, including guidance on how to use the electronic reporting system and complete the report.

Upon successfully submitting your VETS-4212, you’ll receive an email confirmation for your records. Keep these emails to use as confirmation and verification of submission to provide federal contracting officers when they are obligating funds to an awarded contract.
