Are you recruiting for open positions? Want to see how the position you’re recruiting for stacks up against the competition?

CareerCast just released its 2014 Jobs Rated report, which lists the best (and worst) jobs of 2014. CareerCast, a job-search portal created by Adicio, Inc., said the report was created after reviewing a wide range of criteria related to every job and determining that four “Core Criteria” – environment, income, outlook and stress – are common to all jobs.

Each job is assigned an “overall ranking,” which is the sum of the job’s rankings in each of the Core Criteria.

Many of the “best jobs” for 2014 involve mathematical skills, including mathematician (No. 1); statistician (No.3); actuary (No. 4); and engineering and computer jobs. According to many reports, the U.S. lags behind other countries in math skills – one of the most marketable workforce skills.
